Our home care service is supported by a skilled office team led by a Registered Care Manager and a Training Coordinator, both holding Level 5 Leadership qualifications in Social Care. We offer comprehensive training in areas like moving and positioning, personal care, medication support, dementia care, and palliative care. Training takes place at our Par Moor office and The John Betjeman Centre in Wadebridge, with practical assessments in clients’ homes in Padstow and Trevone. When Betty, a Trevone resident with Parkinson's and frailty, needed extra care following an operation, we quickly trained and assessed two new Care Professionals to meet her specialised care needs, ensuring CQC Outstanding, exceptional home care. Helping our clients stay connected to their surroundings, our Caregivers support older adults to enjoy local activities such as Padstow Camel Trail walks—a flat, accessible route perfect for gentle strolls or wheelchairs where a short estuary stretch provides fresh air, wildlife, and unrushed chat. We also accompany clients on Padstow Harbour strolls, featuring level paths, benches, nearby cafés, and accessible toilets, or take the Padstow–Rock Ferry for a quick river crossing and a scenic walk in Rock. For a gentle indoor trip, the National Lobster Hatchery offers a lovely, engaging experience without being tiring. Additionally, we guide clients to local networks, including the Mid Cornwall Cancer Support Group in Wadebridge and Memory Matters groups, which run fun and engaging Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) sessions.
