Home Care in Monmouth
The team here at Home Instead Monmouth, Abergavenny & Pontypool are proud to provide expert home care in Monmouth. Get in touch to find out how we can help you or your loved ones.
We aim to keep life going much as it always has, helping with the parts of the day that have become harder while you carry on with everything you still can. That might be a hand getting up and dressed in the morning, or preparing a proper meal and sitting down to eat it together. We also keep on top of the laundry and a little housekeeping, and make sure medication is taken at the right times.
Getting out and about is a key part of how we promote independence at home. Many of our Care Professionals drive, so a trip to the Saturday market or a coffee on Monnow Street is easy to arrange, as is an afternoon trip to the riverside at Two Rivers Meadow.
For years we have supported a number of people living with dementia and Parkinson's, and our live-in care can help a great deal. Having the same person each day, who knows the condition and how you like things done, makes daily life easier to manage.
Whatever your situation, Home Instead can provide quality care to enable your loved one to stay where they belong: at home. Share your details here and one of our friendly advisors will reach out to answer your questions.
Thanks again for the great care you all are giving Mum, from someone so reluctant to accept care now looks forward daily to her Care Professionals. BIG achievement!

Choosing Home Instead Monmouth for personalised home care
Our live-in care begins with a home visit from our local team, so we can get to know you and how you like to live. From there we match you with a Care Professional, looking first at skills and experience and then at personality and shared interests, and you meet them before any care begins.
Your Care Professional has a bedroom of their own and will usually work a day of around eight to ten hours, agreed with you at that first visit, with proper breaks. They stay in the house overnight, so someone is always nearby if something unexpected happens, and if you need care through the night as well, we can talk through how to arrange it.
To keep things consistent, most people are supported by two Care Professionals who take turns every few weeks, and our local team looks after the rota and the handovers.
Because our team lives and works locally, we know the area and the people in it. We know the GP surgeries and pharmacies nearby, we can point you and your family towards the right local support when it is needed, and we can call on trusted tradespeople if something in the home needs seeing to.
That local knowledge also gives families someone close by to talk to. You deal with a small team who know your situation, and we keep relatives updated as often as they would like, whether they live in the town or much further away.
We are regulated and inspected by Care Inspectorate Wales, so the standard of our care is checked independently. If you are thinking about support for a particular need, whether that is help after a stay in hospital or care for the longer term, do get in touch and we will talk through how best we can help.
