Our live-in care begins with a home visit from our local team, so we can get to know you and how you like to live. From there we match you with a Care Professional, looking first at skills and experience and then at personality and shared interests, and you meet them before any care begins. Your Care Professional has a bedroom of their own and will usually work a day of around eight to ten hours, agreed with you at that first visit, with proper breaks. They stay in the house overnight, so someone is always nearby if something unexpected happens, and if you need care through the night as well, we can talk through how to arrange it. To keep things consistent, most people are supported by two Care Professionals who take turns every few weeks, and our local team looks after the rota and the handovers.
Because our team lives and works locally, we know the area and the people in it. We know the GP surgeries and pharmacies nearby, we can point you and your family towards the right local support when it is needed, and we can call on trusted tradespeople if something in the home needs seeing to. That local knowledge also gives families someone close by to talk to. You deal with a small team who know your situation, and we keep relatives updated as often as they would like, whether they live in the town or much further away. We are regulated and inspected by Care Inspectorate Wales, so the standard of our care is checked independently.
