Our Lyme Regis Team is With You Through Every Step
We are led by Mark and Vanessa McGlade, who started Home Instead East Devon in 2011 after experiencing poor quality care when supporting their own grandmother with dementia. Our General Manager, Laura, has been with us since 2013, bringing extensive health and social care experience to our team, while Sophie, a Devon-based medical doctor, provides additional expertise. Our local office in Exeter is home to 20 dedicated staff members who provide comprehensive support to our clients and Care Professionals throughout Lyme Regis and East Devon. We provide extensive dementia training to all our Care Professionals, ensuring they’re equipped with the latest knowledge and techniques to support clients living with various stages of dementia.
Our community partnerships extend throughout Lyme Regis and East Devon, helping to make the entire region more dementia-friendly. We deliver dementia workshops for families and friends, providing practical advice and emotional support for those caring for loved ones. Our team offers free community talks on a range of dementia-related topics to local surgeries, dentists, and organisations, helping them become ‘dementia aware’ and improving their services. We work closely with Lyme Regis Medical Centre and local hospice teams to ensure comprehensive support for our clients, while our involvement with local dementia support groups creates a network of care that extends far beyond our individual services.
