About Home Instead High Peak
Our High Peak office, owned by Paul Vickers provides award winning care at home to people living in High Peak and Stockport areas, allowing them to remain independent, and to continue to live with dignity in their own homes. We serve all the main towns, villages and out-lying places. The office opened seven years ago and has rapidly built up an excellent reputation for the quality of care provided.
Paul says, when talking to people with care needs, I realised that most would rather stay in their own homes than move into a care home. I know from personal experience how difficult life can be for people and the impact it has on their families and for those experiencing difficulties at any stage of adult life.
Our Care Team, headed up by Christine Blain Hall has a reputation of trust and reliability. Christine has over 25 years’ experience in the care sector, and is passionate about providing the right care support to meet our client’s needs.
By providing high quality services for our clients in their own homes, we can help them to live independently without having to change their lifestyle. This gives re-assurance and comfort to both our clients and their families, to know that they have support from people who are part of their local community.
Paul says, Home Instead Senior Care perfectly matched my idea of how care should be provided. We can help with compassionate care services in your loved one's home. Whether a few hours a day, week or long term care 24 hours a day, a CAREGiver can assist. All our CAREGivers are employed by ourselves, (we do not use agency staff) they provide six references and undertake a full criminal record bureau check before employment. They are extensively trained, fully insured, matched to your preferences, professional and reliable.
We are viewed as a high quality and lower cost alternative to a nursing or residential home, and nationally we have won numerous domiciliary care awards for care that we provide. We also specialise in cases of disablement, all forms of dementia and palliative care, with staff who are properly trained to help clients with these particular needs. It is also possible for us to provide respite care in the home in the light of someone seeking a holiday or break.
The High Peak Home Instead Senior Care Office is part of a global network of more than 900 locally owned and operated offices.
At around ninety we realised mum was starting to need some help, she was still though, fiercely independent and expressed the wish that when the time came she wanted to leave her home feet first. My wife knew about Home Instead so we contacted them and put on a couple of visits a day, which over the years increased. My Mother really liked her visits, she was well cared for, she was a great story teller and loved playing to the back gallery audience that the carers provided. When we used to ask her how life was going on with her carers I seem to remember her say that "she could not have been more happier". I believe that Home Instead extended Mum's final years significantly and were stimulating for her. It is a pity though, that we didn't get her to write this review before she passed away as she would most certainly have had a very positive opinion on her care and certainly an anecdote or two. My Mother had a good "innings" and was happy to the end and I cannot recommend Home Instead too much.John B (Son)
