Women’s Day 2022 Celebration

8th March 2022, Home Instead Greenwich & Bexley celebrated International Women’s day with their CAREGivers, Key Players and their families.

Research shows, more women work in Health & Social Care industry than any other field and celebration International Women’s Day at Home Instead is about celebrating their achievements and raising awareness about women's equality. Director, Fatta is an advocate for gender parity, he lobbies for accelerated gender parity and supports female-focused charities.

On the day, CAREGivers and Key Player brought homecooked food to share; the food included cuisine from 7 different countries, namely – UK, Nepal, India, Jamaica, South Africa, Mauritius and Afghanistan. The event mainly focused on social interaction between CAREGiver, Key Players and their families. Director Sonia said “Care giving can be very a lonely job and event such as this one can have a positive contribution in our staff’s health and wellbeing.” She also thanked everyone for attending; the special thanks went to Diane, Fiona, Halima, Jags for preparing lovely food.

Note: 93% of Home Instead Greenwich & Bexley CAREGivers are female.
