BNF Healthy Eating Week - 2020
Home Instead – Greenwich & Bexley is taking part in British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) ”Healthy Eating Week” and promote healthy eating among our CAREGivers, Key Players and clients as part of our ongoing health and wellbeing initiatives.
Home Instead supports older adults to remain independently in their own homes by providing person-centred home care services that includes hourly visits to 24/7 live-in care. Research shows that malnutrition can lead to various health concerns including week immune system, increased risk of infection, muscle and bone weakness and poor wound healing; malnutrition is particularly more in people living with Dementia. Home Instead has been running “Stay Nourished” campaign to raise awareness healthy eating among older adults and many of our clients enjoy healthy nutritious meal cooked by our friendly and carefully matched CAREGiver who do not rush during their care visits.
Every year, BNF runs the healthy eating campaign and his year they are running it from 28 September to 4 October 2020. The aim of the week is to bring the UK together for a dedicated Week, focusing on key health messages and promoting healthy habits. This year’s health challenges are:
Eat more wholegrains (Monday);

Move more (Thursday);
Be mind kind (Friday);
Get active together (Saturday)*;
