Diwali at Home Instead Greenwich & Bexley

The last pandemic was in 1918; the last nearly two years has been the most challenging time of all our lives. None of us have had the experience of a pandemic. Each day from the first lockdown has been a learning curve. From dealing with toilet paper panic buying to fuel shortage. Special thoughts and prayers with each whose lost loved ones. Not to forget speedy recovery to the many whose receiving treatment at home or hospital.

Currently we have over 1.6 million Social Care Super Heroes Protecting us. Home Instead Greenwich and Bexley's outstanding team continues to deliver exceptional care to their clients and their families. Our CAREGivers went the extra miles to support their team members isolating. Delivering food and hygiene for people who are isolating and much more..

Diwali the festival of lights.

Diwali symbolised the Victory of Light over Darkness. Eradicate the pandemic impact and give us the strength and zeal to carry on with our good work for the rest of the year.
Diwali was celebrated on the 4th of November at our office together with the office being decorated with the many bright colours of flowers, rangolis and light. Each team members contributed. Every little helped, from running next door to Tesco to grab some black bags to applying Henna Art.

Fiona our Field Care Supervisor did her usual homemade cooking and baking. A Diwali special with a selection of traditional sweets, desert and a homecooked vegetarian meal to share with the team. Jags our Senior CAREGiver who is also an event manager, provided all the decoration, sarees and matching accessories. Not to forget Jags special Bhature (a form of Naan Bread)

We were joined by many team members children. Special thank you to our Admin team member daughter Elle. Elle has a passion for photography. Elle was so happy and proud to have been giving the opportunity to photograph the event. The whole team can`t thank our younger visitors who helped in lighting all the Diwali battery operated candles. How can we forget our dear Alex, Our Senior CAREGiver's partner for the beautiful Henna Art we all felt prettier.

Diwali night was celebrated with a vegetarian meal by none than our Favourite Nepali Restaurant Namaste. Proud to be supporting local small business. Our Diwali event was a huge success. We received so many heart warming feedback from Everyone who attended, friends, family, clients and their families.
