Home Instead has been established for many years in the UK. This means that some franchise owners have reached the stage where they want to retire, whilst others might have to move on due to a change in their circumstances. Resales are a healthy part of franchising. An established franchisor will typically have 10% of their network for sale at any point.
A resale franchisee needs to have strong people and leadership skills, with evidenced experience in managing businesses and/or large teams. You’ll be able to identify and resolve business issues and see potential for growing your business and developing your team.
Yes, because new franchisees often have new ideas and different experiences to draw upon. We ensure every franchise is a viable proposition and we often see a growth spurt once a new franchisee is in place. You can also develop your service offering over time by including options such as Parkinson’s and live-in care.
Our services have been tried and tested over many years, so we already have all the ingredients of a successful care business. You’ll benefit from a big international brand with services you can offer on a local level. Home Instead is a national and international thought leader within the home care sector. We’re a driving force in influencing policy on the provision of quality elderly home care.
But even more than all of this, you’ll become part of a family that focuses on relationship-led care. This involves the development of a strong, two-way bond between your Care Professionals and their clients. Both sides are carefully matched beforehand, taking into account their background, culture, hobbies and interests. Unlike other companies, our Care Professionals don’t wear uniforms, as we don’t want to create any barriers to the relationship.
Another particular strength of our approach is that visits last for at least an hour to ensure that we can provide proper, quality care. And this model has been endorsed by both our clients and our Care Professionals.
With a franchise resale, you’ll enjoy all the support you’d get if you were starting a brand new franchise. That includes all the help and advice you need to establish and grow a successful business. After the initial induction, you’ll receive tailored support over a period of 180 days. National Office will continue to provide you with support throughout your life as a franchisee. This will cover every aspect of your business – including marketing, IT, care quality, legal aspects and accounting.
