Everyone in the office today with Eleanor

Today Eleanor Laing MP visited our offices. Eleanor is the MP for Epping Forest and she opened our offices just over three years ago. We showed Eleanor photographs of her cutting the ribbon across our door back in June 2013.

Since then we have grown from around 15 CAREGivers and office staff to over seventy! Our client base has grown tremendously also.

Eleanor visited today as a result of the Home Instead Network being awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2016 in the field of innovation. She was keen to learn about the Home Instead approach providing homecare and companionship that helps the older generations to continue to live in their own homes, surrounded by a lifetime of memories, as long as possible. She read some of our testimonials from clients and learnt more about us. She was very impressed.

We told her about our City and Guilds accredited dementia training and about July being scam awareness month. Our scam awareness information which has been created in conjunction with the National Trading Standards Agency and we have been promoting this jointly throughout the month. She has had constituents effected by scams and could see the need for greater scam awareness and information on what can be done to prevent scams.

We had a photograph taken of Eleanor with everyone who was in the office at the time, Josh was our only man in today!

We had sparkling elderflower cordial and cupcakes – the office team really enjoyed these!
