Summer Party

Our summer party for clients, family and carers last Tuesday was a great success, the Quaker Hall was full, our next party may have to be at a larger venue!

For the first part of the afternoon clients, family and carers had the opportunity to talk to old friends and make new friends whilst sitting, drinking and eating. We served scones with jam and cream along with cups of tea or coffee. These refreshments were a huge success as witnessed by our washing up team who were kept very busy in the kitchen!!

The second half of the afternoon was devoted to an entertainer who brought along his keyboard and led us through a number of old favourite songs. He had us waving our song sheets in the air to ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ and there is a short video of our rendition of ‘It’s a Long Way to Tipperary’. It is hard to say which song was our favourite they were all fun.

Thank you to all those who came and made this a really special, fun afternoon.
