St John’s Christmas Tree Festival 2nd to 5th December 2016

As part of this year’s Christmas celebrations in Epping, St John’s Church will be holding a Christmas Tree Festival on the above dates. This will consist of a display in the Church of individually decorated Christmas trees. There will also be seasonal music, concerts by local groups, refreshments and stalls.  Two charities selected by St John’s Church will be supported by a percentage of the funds raised over the four days of the Festival.

Home Instead Epping Forest will be taking part, decorating a tree in a theme appropriate to our business.

This year we have chosen a theme of “Merry Memories at Christmas”. Memories are so important to us all but particularly for the more senior members of the population. We all forget things as we get older and some more than others but a photo of something from the past can just trigger a memory and spark a conversation. Our tree will be decorated with some handmade decorations to act as a catalyst for conversation between the younger and older generations. You must visit the festival and our tree to see what we have done! Our tree will also have little houses that light up to reflect our aim of helping the elderly stay in their own homes where they are often the happiest.

Please support this great festival by coming along, you will be asked to vote for your favourite tree so please vote for us!

Thank you, Victoria (owner)
