Our Macmillan Coffee Morning

Every year Macmillan ask people and companies to take part in raising funds for them to use in supporting people with cancer. Their first coffee morning was held in 1990 and since then the coffee mornings have raised over £200 million!! https://coffee.macmillan.org.uk/about/what/

We ran our own Coffee Morning on Tuesday 25 September and so far have raised £150 for Macmillan – contributions are still coming in!

Our office staff and CAREGivers brought along their own bakes: we had some really tasty treats including shortbread baked by one of our clients who is over 100 years old, sticky, moorish brownie from Kelly, gluten free offerings from Michele (her sister in law had baked them!), coffee and walnut cake, lemon biscuits, mini victoria sandwich cakes plus lots of delightful treats. It was a super event!

We chose a Best Baker, this was Debbie who has now been best baker for the last two years! Her bake was an enormous chocolate cake named ‘Tinkerbell’.

Thank you to everyone who took part.

Any cakes left at the end of the day were taken to the office so make a note in your diary to visit the office this time next year to sample next years bakes! Or come along to the main event.
