Our HISCar GAREGiver Celebrations

We recently held our very first afternoon of celebrating our CAREGivers the HISCars (our equivalent of the Oscars!) and felt it was so successful it will become an annual afternoon event. It was a a lovely afternoon we had cake and non alcoholic BucksFizz and it was a great time to catch up with everyone in one place. My whole team are fantastic so it is always difficult to highlight particular winners as I value everyone and hope this is recognised. Everyone collected a potted sunflower as a small token of the sunshine they bring into the lives of our clients. The winners were all awarded a mini Oscar type statue, engraved, for them to keep.

There will be soon lots more photos, of the afternoon, in the office so do not forget to look out for them.

There were awards in 3 categories:

The People’s Choice Award

This award was voted for by our clients. Over 50 clients and their families took the time to nominate.
It was really lovely to get the nominations in, with some clients giving their reasons for their choices.
The winner was Kelly. Kelly has been working for Home Instead for several years now and is a lovely caring, reliable person. A well-deserved winner.

Around the Clock Award

The Around the Clock award was awarded to the CAREGiver who had worked the most hours caring for clients in the last year and the award went to Christina.
Christina is a great asset to Home Instead she works hard but always has a smile on her face.

The Extra Mile Award

This was awarded to the CAREGiver who the office staff felt had gone the ‘extra mile’ in the last few months.

This was awarded to Jean, Jean is a lovely caring lady who epitomises what a carer should be, she takes a genuine interest in her clients and makes sure if the office can do something to make her clients more comfortable then they are informed and we do what she suggests! Her clients think she is wonderful.

I think all these CAREGivers are worthy winners but I know I have lots more CAREGivers who are also outstanding at their job and the work they do with their clients, I really am very fortunate to have a fantastic team of CAREGivers in Epping Forest.
