We held out client and caregiver Christmas party on Tuesday 20 December and it was a super afternoon.
It was the first time we had used Theydon Bois Village Hall for the event and it proved to be a fantastic venue with great parking. We have booked the same hall for Wednesday, 20 December 2017 already so make a note in your diary!
Theydon Bois Village School choir sang a selection of Christmas favourites old and new and everyone really enjoyed seeing the children singing. A big thank you to all the school staff who made the visit possible.
We served teas and coffees with a selection of biscuits and cake whilst giving everyone a chance to catch up with old friends and make new. We also had a few Christmas puzzles and a game of bingo so we had lots of prizes to award.
We have a scam awareness training module available to all staff to complete. It has been established along with the National Trading Standards Scam Team and it gives information on the scams targeting the elderly and what we can do about them. I used the afternoon as an opportunity to award scam awareness certificates to those caregivers who have successfully completed this training. Congratulations to them!
Everyone seemed to have a great afternoon and I have received many lovely messages thanking me for organising the afternoon.
Thank you to all who came and everyone who helped with the afternoon.
I wish you all a Happy New Year!
