Completed twiddlemuff demonstrated!

A twiddlemuff is a knitted muff with items attached so that people living with dementia can twiddle with it – it not only keeps their hands warm but also gives them something to do with their hands.

People living with with dementia often have restless hands and like to have something to keep their hands occupied. The twiddlemuff provides a wonderful source of visual, tactile and sensory stimulation and at the same time keeping hands snug and warm.

All you need a selection of left over wool and some 6.5mm needles. The pattern is simple and we have lots copied up in the office. So ring the office and we will send you a pattern or drop into our office on the High Street in Epping to pick one up.

We now have two completed and several works in progress!

If you know anyone who would benefit from one of these muffs please give me a call,

Let’s get knitting!
