We are delighted with the results of our recent unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the regulator of health and social care in England.
Home Instead met all the required standards of care set by the CQC and received high praise from feedback collated from both their clients and staff. These results are extremely important as they provide a clear indication that a care company is operating as it should, and gives clients, and their families, confidence that they are choosing a care service with high standards. Amidst reports in the media that care organisations are lacking in crucial areas of care, it is really important that people are able to access information about quality providers in their area to give them peace of mind. All CQC reports are available on their website (www.cqc.org.uk) and we would urge anyone looking for care to visit the site before deciding on a provider.
We place our clients’ needs and wishes at the centre of everything we do and we were particularly pleased with the feedback from our clients. One client contacted said “My carer is wonderful. They definitely meet all my needs and do what I have asked.” Another Client said “The carer has taken time to get to know me well; what I need and how I like things done. I really cannot fault them. I get the same carer who is never late. They work at my pace. They never rush me and always seem happy and cheerful.”
The feedback from our CAREGivers was excellent and showed they enjoy working for us and feel they are valued. Through a variety of different mechanisms we encourage, reward and support our CAREGiver team. We believe happy clients cannot exist without happy CAREGivers and do our upmost to ensure both parties have a positive experience with Home Instead. Some of our CAREGivers were interviewed and the inspector documented these comments: “I love working here. We are very well supported and the training and development opportunities are really good.” Another said “It’s a good company that really looks after its staff. They are very good at matching the skills and experiences of carers and the client’s needs.”
