Dementia Knits update

As part of dementia awareness week we are knitting pets to help people suffering from dementia.

We now have three completed knitted dogs. We have our office dog, Bess who is a Cockapoo, a Jack Russell and a King Charles Cavalier.

A big thank you to Maureen who knitted the King Charles Cavalier for our Client Pat! The cockapoo and Jack Russell were our ‘practice’ knits and will be in the office for anyone interested in seeing what our knitted pets look like.

There is a list in the office of suggested pets to be knitted and we have given out a few patterns to willing knitters and hope soon to have a selection of knitted pets to give out to those who would like one.

If just one of our knitted offerings could bring some pleasure to someone then it will be worthwhile.
If you wish to help or know someone who could benefit from a knitted pet then please contact Victoria in the office.
