Dementia Awareness Workshop

On Thursday 22nd May we ran a Dementia Awareness Workshop in our office in Epping. The course went well and was very well attended and the afternoon flew by. The feedback from the course was very positive.

Here are a few of the comments we received:

“The course was presented very professionally, in bite-size chunks, so that it was easy to take in information. Both Susan and Vicky had an excellent knowledge of the subject and were able to answer questions fully. They also encouraged participation from those present and, because of their knowledge of their clients, were able to reply on an individual basis to enquiries from family members”

“Thank you very much for an interesting afternoon.  It has helped me to understand more about dementia related behaviours, suitable activities and diversion ideas.”

“Thanks very much for running this workshop. I very much enjoyed it, and came away with a lot of positive ideas on activities to try with Mum.”

“The style of presentation meant that participants felt at ease and therefore contributed their own experiences and asked questions. I now know that stimulation and activities are the areas we should concentrate on with Mum.  Also, understanding/interpreting behaviours and what to look out for was very useful.”

We will be running more workshops in the future so if you would like to reserve a place email us – [email protected] or telephone the office 01992 666777. We look forward to hearing from you.
