Easter Gifts for Clients and CAREGivers

With Easter approaching we have been busy packing up Easter treats along with our new Home Instead china mugs to give out to all our wonderful CAREgivers and Clients.

Annabel my five-year-old daughter has made an Easter chick which my mother has made into a card and printed making Easter cards for everyone. These will be given out with the gifts.

It is well recognised that puzzles, crosswords and word searches are good for the brain, helping to keep the brain active is beneficial to our general wellbeing. So, we have produced, along with the help from the people who produce the Weekly Sparkle, a puzzle book for our clients. These will be given out with the Easter treats. We hope they enjoy working their way through these.

The Weekly Sparkle is a magazine we subscribe to and send it out to our clients free of charge. It is a magazine established for seniors which helps reminiscences. For example, week commencing 29 March the magazine includes:

An article entitled ‘On this day’ – 30 March 1913, birth of Frankie Lane
Articles on the Clock Tower at Sheerness and an Amphicar
Articles on the Grand National 2 April 1977, and Marlon Brando born on 3rd April 1924.
Articles on the ’Way We Were’ from laundry to carrying cash.
Plus, a selection of puzzles and quizzes.

It really is a good read. Our CAREGivers love it as it encourages clients to reminisce about their youth and fond memories.

If you are a client and do not already get this sent to you please contact me and I will add you to our distribution list.

Happy Easter everyone!
