According to the Alzheimer's Society there are currently 800,000 people diagnosed as living with dementia and they estimate this figure will rise to over 1,000,000 within the next decade. The Alzheimer's Society also stated that these figures represent approximately 40% of the true number of people living with this disease. That means that there are currently 1,200,000 people without the correct diagnosis and their families are having the handle the complex behaviours and conditions that this disease present.
