Local Sawbridgeworth lady Sam Jones , has been awarded the accolade of ‘CAREGiver of the year 2013’ by her employers and clients at Home Instead in Sawbridgeworth, for her unfaltering dedication to the clients  she looks after this year.

Having previously always worked in a local community as well as living in France. Sam changed direction to become a CAREGiver in October 2012 caring for her clients in their own homes. Her role includes, personal care, home help and companionship as well as working with one client assisting Sam looking after her horses.  

Commenting on the award, Business Manager of Home Instead in Sawbridgeworth David Bassett said: “Congratulations to Sam, who is very deserving of this title. She is a very kind and caring lady and has become a trusted companion to her clients and their families. Sam always goes that extra mile, she really does make a difference to peoples’ lives. Sam has achieved her dementia specialist’s award as well as working though her QCF training. I’m really pleased that she has received this award. Home Instead services include personal care such as assistance with bathing, dressing, eating and medications; home help covering all aspects of day-to-day housework, shopping, meal preparation and household duties; and companionship services that can involve everything from escorting clients on visits or appointments to simple conversation and good company.
