A FREE coffee morning for Pensioners who live in and around Ormskirk has been successfully launched on a Thursday by Home Instead West Lancashire & Chorley. Hosted amongst the relaxing and very comfortable surroundings of The Brooke’s Bistro, Brookside Living, Aughton St, slap bang in the centre of Ormskirk Town.
Copious cups of tea, coffee and biscuits were served by the helpful and caring Home Instead volunteers Katie Mattack and Adam Wallace and members of the friendly staff at Brooke’s Bistro.
The FREE Coffee morning is open to all Pensioners who live in the community, including those residents who stay in the Brookside Living facility. Director Gail Godson goes on to say” we recently held our very successful community Information Stall in the town which was established to help “sign post” local people to appropriate support services, also raising awareness and funds for local charities and promoting good causes. Now throughout July, we are continuing with our commitment to keep giving something positive back into the local community, by hosting this FREE Coffee morning every Thursday (Market Day) providing a perfect opportunity to relax and unwind, possibly meet up with old friends and or make new ones. This is just one of our many community initiative’s which Home Instead will be holding throughout the year and I cannot wait to meet everyone down there, a special note of thanks must also go out to the Home Instead volunteers, and to Joe Fay and his wonderful staff at Brooke’s Bistro for their professionalism and very kind support with hosting this event.”
