Job Description

The Care Team Support performs a variety of administrative and care duties. The Care Team Support is expected to answer telephone calls, complete administrative duties, provide care for Clients as required and support the Care Support Team with a variety of tasks to provide the highest quality service to Clients. A large proportion of this role is based in the community supporting CAREGivers or providing care to Clients at short notice.

The Role:

  • Support CAREGiver’s in their day-to-day role
  • Provide quality introductions of CAREGivers to Clients
  • Support with medication, medication reviews and medication competencies.
  • Provide care for Clients as required
  • Provide support to the Care Director and the Care Support Team in all aspects of the business
  • Completion of Care Plans and risk assessments from given changes, checking systems for compliance, and updating information within systems
  • Being part of the On-Call Rota
  • Answer telephones calls in a polite professional manner, passing on clear messages and actioning messages where appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all Key Players, CAREGiver’s, Clients, Client families and any other Home Instead contacts
  • Have a thorough understanding of and belief in the Home Instead business model
  • Maintain and uphold company standards and ethos
  • Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery.

    • Willing to progress towards completing Level 3 and Level 5 Health and Social Care Qualifications in the future
    Additional Information


    • Must have clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).
    • Driving licence and use of a car on a daily basis
    • Must have experience in office administration. Good understanding of all Microsoft office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
    • Must be confident to use a variety of technology
    • Must understand the importance of confidentiality and working within current legislation.
    • Must be a team player

    The Care Team Support works 5 out of 7 days on a rota system which will include some weekend work.
