Franchise Owners - Mike & Jane Francis
Mike and Jane jointly own the Home Instead business in Cambridge. They ran another successful business for 12 years and developed a reputation for integrity and meeting client’s expectations, while recruiting high quality people and helping them deliver great service.
Mike’s role in Home Instead is to ensure all the staff enjoy an environment in which they can deliver the high care standards we set. Mike is also responsible for liaising with the outside world to create an awareness of what we do.
Jane manages the finances, making sure clients are invoiced correctly and our staff receive their pay accurately and on time.
Head of Client Experience - Emma Francis
Emma joined Home Instead in 2015. After a successful spell of client service work she was promoted to Head of Client Experience in the summer of 2018. Her role in Home Instead is to represent the interests of our clients, ensuring that they receive the service they want and that it meets their needs, consistently and to a high standard. Emma is responsible for developing our care expertise and speciality areas such as dementia care. Emma is the Registered Care Manager with CQC.
Emma works closely with Elaine and Julie to ensure that the quality of the service is as good as it can be and that we can evidence it for CQC, internal compliance and most importantly, our clients and their families.
And her surname is shared with the business owners, but no relation!
Client Services Liaison - Elaine Ward
Elaine has worked in Home Instead Cambridge's office since its first day in 2010. Elaine is the main office contact for many of our clients and those enquiring about our service for the first time. Elaine's eye for detail and care for her clients mean that every request, from extra visit requests to adjustments of key details in our care plans, is recorded and executed to our clients' wishes.
Elaine is part of the Client team in the office, working closely with Emma, Roz and Julie and is generally the important first point of contact for new client enquiries.
Accounts & Admin Specialist - Julie Morris
Julie joined the team in 2015 to look after the growing area of accounts and admin. Julie carefully checks each visit after its completion to ensure that clients are fairly billed and CAREGivers paid for their work. She also does all the month-end work to produce invoices and prepare the payroll.
Julie also plays an important part communicating with our clients and CAREGivers on the telephone, clarifying details and accounting for changes.
Head of CAREGiver Experience - Natalie Chandler
Natalie joined Home Instead with a wealth of experience in recruitment, resourcing and HR management gained with Kuehne & Nagel and Joules Clothing.
Natalie's initial role was as our Recruitment manager but she soon moved into her current role as Head of CAREGiver Experience. In this role she is responsible for the full range of support and services for our CAREGivers, such as training, development, visit scheduling and daily contact. Natalie manages a team of CAREGiver Team Leaders and their support to carry out the range of her responsibilities.
Natalie is passionate about helping CAREGivers become happy and confident in their work, as well as giving them the opportunity to develop personally and professionally.

Training & New CAREGiver Lead - Tasha Macrae
Tasha has a vast experience of many roles in Home Instead. After joining as a CAREGiver who was adored by her clients, she developed her skills, initially in the Weekend On-Call role and then into a Senior CAREGiver role and some training.
In 2018 she stepped up to take a lead in induction training and mentor all our new CAREGivers in the initial phase of their careers with Home Instead. In 2019 Tasha has gone on to help CAREGivers with more experience, bringing her University of Worcester dementia learning into her practice.
Always cheerful, Tasha is a wonderful member of the Home Instead team.
Team Leader - Wendy Gypps
Wendy brings a wealth of experience to her role in Home Instead from many years as a qualified nurse. Wendy leads a number of our CAREGivers, guiding and developing their care practice, as well as ensuring our clients receive the support that they want. Wendy also plays an important role in our dementia care, having completed a University of Worcester dementia course in 2018, as well as carrying out training for new recruits and overseeing our medication practice and recording.
Naturally cheerful and with great dedication to her CAREGivers and their clients, Wendy embodies the Home Instead ethos of personalised care and living life to the full.
CAREGiver Services Specialist & Office Manager - Alison Price
Alison lies at the heart of our office administration. Raised in Sawston, she also knows the local area and city.
Alison supports Natalie and the CAREGiver team with vital organisation of recruitment, training and development administration.
Alison’s attention to detail means that the office responds efficiently and effectively to the needs of our CAREGivers, allowing everyone to benefit from the care we provide.
Coordinator - Melanie Jones
Mel joined the office team in 2017 after a successful period as a CAREGiver. Mel works with the scheduling team to ensure that all our client visits are filled with suitable CAREGivers.
Mel's experience of client visits and the CAREGiver role give her a wonderful feel for what works in matching people together and making a successful client led service.
Team Leader - Sasha Hatton
Sasha is our newest Team Leader, but joined with lots of care experience. Working in the community in her previous roles means that Sasha has a real empathy for clients and CAREGivers alike.
Sasha's role is to support and mentor new CAREGivers in their role, helping them to secure their Care Certificate and go on developing and learning in their role at Home Instead. Her time is split between the office and being out with CAREGivers providing practical support as they go about their care of our clients.
Coordinator - Kirsty Youngman
Kirsty has a wealth of care experience and joined the Home Instead team in early 2019. Kirsty has supported clients herself as well as taking on many office and support roles in her earlier care career.
Kirsty works in the office and shares the weekend on-call responsibility with Kate, maintaining the high levels of support that our clients and CAREGivers enjoy from the team.
