New Care Co-ordinator joins the team!

Home Instead Calderdale welcomes new Care Co-ordinator Sam Cole.

We have strengthened the office team with the appointment of Sam Cole who brings valuable experience to the role from her time as a deputy manager of a care home. Here's what Sam had to say about how and why she joined the care sector.

"Some years ago my son needed additional support and I began to experience at first-hand how rewarding and valuable a job in care is. As a result, I retrained and left my retail management job, bringing many transferable customer service skills with me.

Since beginning my journey in care in 2016, I’ve worked as a senior carer and deputy manager of a care home, and then joined Home Instead in October 2021 as a Care Coordinator, responsible for liaising with clients and families, and auditing the quality of our care service.

One of the things that stood out about Home Instead is that each care package is person centred, ensuring that clients receive the best quality of care to meet their specific needs. Also the team here are really warm and welcoming.

My aim is to help make a difference to the lives of individuals who don’t have their own network of support and help them remain independent in the comfort of their own homes. I also aim to build strong relationships with our team of Caregivers: supporting and mentoring them effectively."
