Growing old can bring challenges, both for the person who’s ageing and for their family. It can be frustrating for our loved ones because they can’t do everything they used to and feel like they’re losing their independence. At the same time, it might be worrying for their family as they might not be able to be there whenever their loved ones need them.

We re-started our wonderful client singing group this week. We were all a little apprehensive and lots of COVID safety measures were in place! To our relief it was a great success. Thanks to all the clients that came along, and all the CAREGivers and staff that made it possible. Even our experienced choir mistress had a tear to the eye as the clients united in song. Old friendships were kindled and new friendships were made. The main topic of conversation afterwards was, “When are we doing this again.” Further dates have now been agreed and we will get them out asap.
