Welcome to Home Instead where we are devoted to providing the highest quality award-winning help and support for older people in the comfort of their own homes - where they feel most happy and comfortable.
It doesn’t matter how simple or complex our clients' needs are, our CAREGivers ensure that each individual is cared for with respect, dignity and compassion. Our service is relationship-led and is tailored to each individuals needs. Our visit duration of an hour or more enables us to provide a high quality, unhurried service.
Many older people are able to live at home independently with the help of a CAREGiver, and once they get that help, they often can't imagine being without it. In many cases, older people and their families find themselves thinking that some help is needed, however they are unsure about where to start looking for that help, or perhaps don’t really understand how that help will make a difference.
It’s natural to be reluctant about getting help – it may seem like an admission of defeat or facing the reality that your loved ones health is declining. However, the sooner families seek help the better. Day to day tasks that may have become challenging are made easier or are done for them, enabling them to continue enjoying the things they are able to do.
A CAREGiver can help with Companionship and Befriending as well as Home Help duties such as housework, cooking, and chores around the house that might require more physical effort such as changing the bed or hanging the washing out.
Caring for a family member can often become daunting when a person needs help with Personal Care (bathing, having a wash or getting to the bathroom) and getting in a CAREGiver for these tasks can make it possible for a family to continue caring for their family member at home. In many instances, caring for a family member becomes a team effort between family, friends and CAREGivers.
Home Instead CAREGivers are carefully recruited and go through an extensive induction process, and they also have the support from our office team 7 days a week. CAREGivers will be individually matched with each client and a relationship of trust is developed through consistency of visits. Through this approach, we can closely observe the health and well-being of our clients and adapt our service to any changes required giving families the peace of mind they need.
Many of our CAREGivers have become carers after experiencing caring for a loved one first hand so they understand the challenges, doubts and emotions that each family is going through.
We take great pride in helping our clients to live comfortably and confidently at home, where they long to be. We are committed to changing the face of ageing and the Companies' Queens Award for Enterprise says it all, home care that’s good enough for the Queen!
