Home Instead carers are doing a very good job of looking after two elderly people, both suffering with dementia. Without the carers’ daily visits, these two elderly people simply could not continue to live at home, as they cannot prepare food, hot drinks, or be trusted to take their medication. Also these two elderly people need help keeping themselves washed and dressed in clean clothes, and their home clean and tidy. The home care that Home Instead provides really does make the difference between living in the family home and going into a nursing home.

Tadley is situated on the northern periphery of Hampshire, near the Berkshire border and six miles north of Basingstoke. It expanded during the 1950s and 1960s, primarily to accommodate the workforce of the adjacent AWE.
Tadley is surrounded by a number of small villages and places of interest, including the former Roman town of Silchester where the city walls and amphitheatre offer one of our recommended historic walks in north Hampshire.
A local legend dating from the 19th century is that there were treacle mines in Tadley, and until relatively recently the locals were referred to as “Tadley Treacle Miners”. Tadley honours the legend by holding an annual “Treacle Fair” in June.
