A Call to Action! Tai Chi in the Park

You may have seen things I have posted about Falls Awareness Events in Barnet.  I have become increasingly involved in this because falling often causes serious injury in older people.

Now I imagine you are thinking, another worthy issue but not that interesting?  So here is a call to action that will be fun and maybe get you on TV!  I am working with Age UK Barnet and the Saracens Sport Foundation to organise a mass participation event at Allianz Park.  The idea is to get 1000 people from the Borough of Barnet to come along and try out Tai Chi on the Saracens pitch at Allianz Park.

Why Tai Chi?  Because it is an exercise that is gentle and soothing as well as improving balance and mobility and helps to reduce falls!

You don’t have to know anything about Tai Chi just to be willing to try it out.  The event will be led by an experienced Tai Chi instructor.  This will be a lot of fun!  Are you interested?

WHEN:  Friday 11 September

TIME: 10:00 am-12 Noon

WHERE:  Allianz Park, Greenlands Lane, Hendon, NW4 1RL

If you would like to tell me you are coming mail me at dale.b@homeinstead.co.uk  and would you put Tai Chi in the subject line.  Do tell your friends everyone is welcome!  Any questions? Email me.  If you would like to have an information table at this event please email annabelhay@saracens.net

See you there!
