New Wolverhampton Care Business to create 50 jobs

A new service specialising in caring for older people in their own homes has opened its doors in Wolverhampton and hopes to create 50 new jobs in the area. The latest office of Home Instead is based on Tettenhall Road and will serve clients across the Wolverhampton, Wombourne and Kingswinford area.

For owners, local couple Param and Julie Toor from Tettenhall, this is an exciting new venture and a chance to combine their business skills with the opportunity to help other people and put something back into the local community. Param, who was born and bred in Wolverhampton, has been looking to start his own business for some time.

“This is something I have planned for a while and I have looked very carefully at what type of business would be most suited to us. When my brother suggested that I look at Home Instead, which is an award winning national company, I immediately knew that the ethos of the company matched our vision of providing high quality care to meet the different needs of each individual.”

Param, who has always worked in the financial services sector and most recently as Regional Sales Director with the RBS group, met Julie whilst they were both working at Nat West Bank. The couple now have three children and have been married for 18 years.

Through her personal experiences Julie knows exactly what service they want to deliver and is passionate about making it happen. She says: “I am drawn to the care sector because you can really make a huge difference to peoples’ lives. Home Instead, in particular, are really focussed on this. It is not just about getting the job done; it’s about doing it well and with compassion and respect for our clients. That’s what makes all the difference.”

Demand for Home Instead services is very high and Param and Julie are looking for people with caring and compassionate natures to join their team.

“We need people who want a rewarding and flexible career delivering care to people in their own homes. We offer full training so experience is not necessary but candidates may have had personal experience such as looking after a loved one which they have enjoyed.”

Home Instead is changing the way care is delivered in the UK. Their service is tailored to the needs of individual clients and ranges from companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, post-discharge care, personal care, medication reminders, shopping and errands. The service is totally flexible to meet client needs and is available from as little as 1 hour to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
