Older People's Information Days
Join us for our Older People's Information Days in May!
Dementia Action Week, taking place from 16th – 22nd May 2022, is a national campaign organised by the Alzheimer’s Society to provide information and raise awareness about Dementia. In support of this, Home Instead Wetherby and North Leeds, are hosting two Older People’s Information Days during Dementia Action Week.
- Tuesday 17th May 2022, Central Methodist Church, Horsforth (from 10am)
- Thursday 19th May 2022, Wetherby Town Hall (10:30am until 2pm)
These events are free to attend and bring together local businesses and charities which support older people in the area. It is a great way of finding out more information about the services available in the area and receiving advice from local specialists.
At the Wetherby event, Home Instead will be joined by the following local businesses and charities:
- Ware and Kay Solicitors
- Admiral Nurses
- Parkinson’s UK
- West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue
- Community Links Mental Health Charity
- Wiltshire Farm Foods
- Cardale Financial Planning
- Leeds Cancer Awareness
- West Yorkshire Police
- Rainbow Dementia Daycare
- Engage Leeds
- WiSE (Wetherby in Support of the Elderly)
- Morrison’s Supermarket Wetherby
We will also be hosting Recruitment Drop-in Sessions at both of these events where people can discover more about becoming a Care Professional for Home Instead. We have several Care Professional roles available across Wetherby or North Leeds including specific weekend and evening contracts.
