Discover the Saltaire Village Experience!
We’re delighted to announce that next week Maria Glot from the Saltaire Village Experience will be joining us for a talk at Collingham Village Hall.
As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Salt Mill, built by Sir Titus Salt and completed in 1853 with its surrounding village of Saltaire was an integral manufacturing hub in Victorian Britain.
On Tuesday 14th May, Maria, who lives in Saltaire and supports or is involved with many Saltaire societies including the WI and the Saltaire Village Society, will provide an insight into life at the mill and in the village with pictures bringing the industrial heritage of this area to life.
Located just on our doorstep, this is a talk not to be missed! It’s sure to be entertaining, interesting and informative so book your ticket now!
Tickets are £5 which includes refreshments, please join us from 2-4pm on Tuesday to discover the secrets of Saltaire for yourself!
To book a ticket for you or your loved ones, please contact Gemma Berry on 01937 220510.
If you're ever struggling to get to an event but would love to attend please don't hesitate to give us a call as we may be able to help you with a lift.
