World Alzheimer's Month which started in 2012, is the international campaign every September to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds Dementia.
The 21stof September is World Alzheimer’s Day and we are delighted to host our own Dementia Workshop at St James’ Church Hall, Wetherby on Thursday, 20thSeptember from 2pm to 4pm in support of the campaign.
If you are you caring for an ageing parent or relative with Alzheimer’s disease, this could be an ideal event for you or you may just be interested in learning more about Dementia.
You will be able to find out more about what causes dementia and the signs to watch for from experienced practitioners.
This workshop will include:
- A presentation from a qualified Admiral nurse, discussing the types of dementia.
- A session to become a dementia friend.
- How Home Instead can help your loved one.
