Bringing Festive Cheer to our Community
After the difficult past two years we've all had, this year we've been on a mission to help tackle social isolation for our clients and older people within our community. This is vital for our mental wellbeing and it's important that we keep our brains active and stimulated with engaging activities. This is why we've held our annual Christmas Party after missing out last year; and created a Christmas puzzle book that we've given to many older people within our community.
Our annual Christmas party was held at Collingham Memorial Hall for clients this year. The clients and CAREGivers that attended our Christmas Party had a great time singing along with The Vintage Vocalist, treated themselves to festive treats, and had a go at a quiz.
Check out the video above to see the highlights from the afternoon.
Thanks to our Be a Santa to a Senior Campaign, we've spent the last week having great fun delivering these puzzle books as well as Christmas cards/messages donated by local school children to bring some Christmas happiness to the wider community. Our puzzle books and the children's Christmas cards have been given to, our clients, community friends from OPAL, Tatterton Lodge, Wetherby Manor, as well as local care homes. We have managed to distribute over 1000 copies of our puzzle book locally through other community groups and GP surgeries as well as sharing Christmas donations from local school children.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our clients a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
