Meet Our CAREGivers

Pictured are some of our wonderful team of CAREGivers. We feel privileged to have such dedicated and reliable people supporting our clients with care and compassion so that they can maintain their independence at home. Each of our CAREGivers has qualities and strengths which they bring to their work, as well as their experience of caring for others.

One of our lovely CAREGiver's, Elaine, was recently featured in the Wetherby News for her kind and caring nature towards older people. Elaine said, "Being a caregiver is wonderful. I am really happy in my role and I couldn’t tell you the best part about my job; I love the whole package. I enjoy the variety of my job and I find it both interesting and rewarding. All of my clients have a story to tell and when I walk through the door, their faces light up. I love what I do and I wouldn’t change it for anything!”

Our CAREGivers are highly trained from the day they start their journey with us and many go on to develop specialist skills in intensive personal care, Dementia care and end of life care.

We are always looking for people to join our ever expanding team, so if you are compassionate and want to make a real difference, please click here or ring the office on 01937 220510 or email us on [email protected]

Simon White ~ Director

Following 35 years of business experience in corporate roles with well- known brands working largely in the retail sector, I wanted to do something that would make a difference.

After experiencing the difficulty of finding high quality care for my immediate family, I very much value the approach to senior care and independence that Home Instead offers so I joined the Home Instead Wetherby office in 2016. My role is to lead the Wetherby & North Leeds team, spread the word about the Home Instead experience, and run the business aspects of the operation.

Cath Hale ~ Operations Manager

I'm responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the business, from recruiting and training amazing CAREGivers to supporting clients and CAREGivers with great care schedules.

Bridget Glynn ~ Care Manager (Wetherby & Leeds)

After previously working in adult social care for over 30 years, I took early retirement to care for a family member. I then decided to join Home Instead as a CAREGiver and loved the role so much that I wanted to develop my career. I used my skills to become a Care Service Manager looking after the Leeds area. I am now the Care Manager, overseeing all aspects of our car across Wetherby & Leeds. I really enjoy the contact with our clients and their families, so I can tailor the service we provide to their needs.

I have worked in the care industry for around 10 years, in a variety of roles including Care Assistant, Senior Care Assistant, Regional Trainer and Unit Manager, mainly in nursing homes, but have recently branched into homecare, with Home Instead, as Learning & Development Manager. I have a passion for high quality care delivery and pride myself on supporting staff to deliver this through outstanding training and excellent follow-up contact with CAREGivers.

Kam Marwaha ~ Care Service Manager (Wetherby)

After working within the Health and Social Care Sector for over 10 years, tt was the ethos of Home Instead Wetherby & North Leeds that really attracted me into becoming their newest Client Service Manager. Seeing the differences we are making to peoples lives and creating opportunities to work within the care sector is what makes me proud.

Racheal Hiorns ~ Recruitment Manager

My career in the care sector began 12 years ago- I have 7 years experience in care roles, and 5 in recruitment behind me. Vikki Clark Learning and Development Coordinator

Vikki Clark ~ Learning and Development Coordinator

I work alongside Nicola to help train new CAREGivers as they start and provide continued support for CAREGivers in their first 12 weeks. I also help provide ongoing or specialist training to existing CAREGivers to support their clients' needs and to ensure that we continue to provide the highest quality care to our clients. In addition, I help create personal development plans that support the continuous learning of our CAREGivers.

Jacky Darley ~ Learning & Development Coordinator

Before joining Home Instead, I trained as a hairdresser but became disillusioned. I first fell in love with caring as a personal assistant privately for four years, then trained with Home Instead as a CAREGiver. I want to pass on my passion and experience in care to ensure our clients receive the care they need. Outside of work, I love running and keeping fit, reading and spending time with family.
