A Dementia Friend learns a little bit more about what it’s like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action – anyone of any age can be a Dementia Friend.
Dementia Friends helps you learn more about dementia and the small ways that you can help. From telling friends and family about Dementia Friends to visiting someone you know living with dementia, every action counts.
As part of Dementia Awareness week, two Dementia Friends talks have been organised. These are open to the public and each session lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Friday 20 May, 2pm, Allum Hall, Allum Lane, Elstree, WD6 3PF – this session is being facilitated by Iain MacBeath, Director of Health and Community Services at Hertfordshire County Council. (This is part of the Older person’s event that is being held during the day).
Tuesday 24 May, Civic Offices, Elstree Way, Borehamwood, WD6 1WA, 2pm – this session is being facilitated by Pam Cousins and Peter Neighbour, Director of Home Instead Watford.
If you would like to attend either session, please email [email protected] indicating which session you would like to attend.
