I discovered Home Instead eighteen months ago when my ageing parents ran into trouble. They have lived in Northwood for years and for many years, in their retirement, helped at Mount Vernon Hospital doing different types of voluntary work. Then mummy was hit ten years ago, by a deep anxiety depression and was unable to cook, or to go out or to look after herself. My father cared brilliantly for many years but he himself was taken ill two years ago and then I was in trouble. Home Instead have been my life line. I live in Cambridge and travelling to and fro to Northwood has been difficult. The day I spoke to you a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders and you have continued to support me ever since. Your carers have been invaluable, helping to look after my father until he died, at home, last summer and then continuing in their care for my mother. They have worked really hard and have shown enormous compassion in what has been, at times, a very difficult situation. I have nothing but praise for the team, without them I have no idea what I would have done and I would wholeheartedly recommend them.Mrs JM - Cambridge
