Home Instead Senior Care are focussing on Lymm in order to help elderly residents in the village and surrounding area to stay independent and continue to live in their own homes where they are most happy for as long as practically possible.

Lymm is a beautiful spot and it’s elderly residents would certainly not wish to have to move out of the village to access the help and support they may need. Home Instead can provide a range of support solutions and are specialists in the provision of high quality non-medical care and practical support.

The services provided include:

  • Companionship
  • Home Help
  • Personal Care Services

It is great that so many people are living much longer due to better diet, environment, much better living conditions and improved healthcare. There is an increasing number of elderly people in the population living well into their 80s and 90s but alongside this there are also an increase in people living with dementia with 33% of over 95’s having some form of this condition. As we can all imagine, most older people want to remain living in their own home and people with dementia are no different and it is good to see that the trend is towards this happening much more frequently, infact two thirds of people with dementia live in the community and only one third in care homes.

This is where Home Intstead come in with dedicated staff who are carefully selected for empathy, patience and understanding and are able to deliver a high quality service which they have been trained and supported to provide. All of the staff go through a detailed background check, taking up six references, which exceeds the rigour demanded by the CQC who are the regulatory body in the Care Sector as a whole.

A client who lives in Lymm was diagnosed with Alzheimers Disease a number of years ago and is now supported to take weekly walks around Lymm. This gentleman loves walking and as the path around the dam is relatively flat, he feels safe and comfortable with reassuring assistance and the companionship of a carefully selected CAREGiver from Home Instead. This helps him to stay physically healthy, socially active and also gives him and his wife more variety in their lives away from each other.

The CAREGiver pictured here with the client, is a Lymm resident and can respond flexibly to help local older people to do the things they do, when they want to do it. This particular CAREGiver has very personal experience of managing all aspects of Alzheimers disease and all its challenges and so is keen to help others to make the best of life.

Home Instead are firm believers in providing a service without cutting corners on time which would compromise the quality of the care provided and the need to focus on the attention to detail required by each individual client.

Home Instead Warrington is managed by an enthusiastic team under the experienced guidance of Melissa and Stephen Critchley who are passionate about providing a very personalised service to respect people’s dignity and help them to remain happy and healthy in their own homes with the help and support they need and want.
