Don't miss a trick, be scam aware!

Home Instead Warrington and Lymm are keen to promote Scam Awareness month. Scams are a growing problem and as older people are so vulnerable, we are keen to do all we can to raise awareness this month and be #scamaware!

Home Instead Warrington and Lymm have become part of the local Friends against Scams Network, alongside Trading Standards, the Police and a number of other organisations. The aim being to bring Scams “out in the open” and help to raise awareness of what to look out for and how to combat Mass Market Fraud locally.

National Trading Standards Scam Team (NTSST) has released its e-learning resource to Home Instead to enable us to raise the level of skill and knowledge among our CAREGivers.

This online training has been offered to Home Instead so that our CAREGivers can develop a high level of knowledge and skill in recognising scams and taking appropriate action.

By providing an online training resource which has been designed by National Trading Standards and provides National Trading Standards certification, we are encouraging all our CAREGivers to undertake this training so they can be more vigilant in looking out for scams taking place in the home of our vulnerable clients.

It’s a great reward and recognition opportunity for CAREGivers and the National Trading Standards certificate gives them another string to their bow in their personal and career development.
