Meet the team

All of our CAREGivers are very carefully selected. They are a fabulous team of professionally trained, reliable people from all backgrounds but with one thing in common - they instinctively get great pleasure from caring for others.

Many have personal experience of caring for loved ones, friends and neighbours and they all love and enjoy the great work that they do.

If you have good life experience, a caring nature and have empathy for vulnerable people, then this could be the job for you. Call the office on 01925 236033 or email [email protected]

Director - Melissa

Hi, I am Melissa and have owned Home Instead here in Warrington since January 2012. However, Home Instead has been operating in the Warrington area since June 2007 and were one of the first offices to open in the UK.

Over the nearly 10 years that I have owned Home Instead here in Warrington, I have come to appreciate that the key to our success is finding and keeping the right staff in our organisation.

Although care suffers with a negative stereotype.  I can honestly say that we have a fabulous team in the field and in the office supporting them and the clients. Home Instead is all about helping people fulfil their potential, be they a client who needs a little help but still wants to be allowed to live their life as independently as possible, or a daughter who just needs a little help and reassurance that she is doing the right thing by her mum or a CAREGiver wanting to draw on the life skills they have gained and use them in helping others.

I really love working with older people and believe strongly in doing all I can to help them remain living at home. I am very proud to say that I work with a team who share my passion and in many cases exceed it.

The innovation, energy and devotion which the whole team put into ensuring that our clients live the best life they can is truly humbling. Throughout my career in Public Health and the voluntary sector I can truly say I have never met a more committed group of individuals.

Alicia F

Registered Care Manager - Alicia

My name is Alicia and I am the new Registered Care Manager.

I have worked in social care since 2012 , and I began my journey as a caregiver and an apprentice care coordinator!

I then progressed through the ranks to become a trainer, deputy manager and ultimately a Registered Care Manager.

I have worked as Registered Manager for 4 years and am so passionate about my role and the positive change that we can make to our local communities.

Good quality care and enabling people to live as independently as possible is something that inspires and motivates me every day.

I am thrilled to work for Home Instead Senior Care Warrington and Lymm and I am very proud to work with such a fantastic team that shares the values that I possess to provide outstanding care.

Joanne - Operations Manager

Hi, I’m Jo, having lived and worked in the area, it’s great to join a team which provide such important care and value back to the community. I’ve had first hand experience of these vital services, so it’s an absolute pleasure for me to help support the service, the CAREGivers and our clients.

I have over 12 years of experience in finance including roles as Accounts Assistant, Assistant Financial Controller and Finance Manager, supported by OCR certification in Bookkeeping and AAT Level 2. In respect of finance and accounting, I take great pride, both individually and collectively as a team, in getting to the best results and making a difference. I’m really looking forward to doing this with Home Instead.

As an interesting fact, (and a tenuous link to hitting targets…), I was once the ladies darts champion at a local recreational club. Just in case it was considered a fluke by any patrons, I also successfully defended the title to be the champion 2 years in a row. I also used to be a keen kickboxer but not at the same time as darts champion I might add! :-)

Outside of work, I have a wonderful family who all keep me busy and active with outings and activities. In my remaining spare time, I love craft making and also the occasional retreat to the spa and health club.

Head of People - Helen

Hello, my name is Helen and I joined Home instead in December 2017 as a Recruitment and Retention Officer. My role in the office is to expand our existing team of CAREGiver’s to support our clients to remain independent in their own homes.

I look after the whole recruitment process from first interviews through to induction. I am always looking to add to our existing team, if you are not sure what the role entails, pick up the phone and have a chat with me.

What I enjoy about my role is the people I meet; I feel privileged to get to chat to individuals from a variety of backgrounds.  We have some great team members who have a wealth of knowledge from Hairdressers, Photographers, Nurses, Mayors, Teachers, the list is endless but who all equally bring a variety of skills to the role and that’s not to mention the people I meet who are the kindest and extremely knowable CAREGivers who have worked in Care for a number of years.

On a more personal note, I live with my Husband and my son and in my spare time we love to travel, keep active and spend time with family and friends.

Supervisor - Dawn

Hi my name is Dawn, I have recently joined Home Instead following 36 years with the Local Authority. During my time with Warrington Borough Council I was initially a night care assistant, a job I loved and at the time fitted in well with my young children. I then started to work for Carecall (Community alarm service) as a peripatetic warden which entailed visiting people in their own homes and also installing Carecall units. Following on I then moved to be a Carecall Operator, handling incoming alarm calls and eventually became the Principal Manager for Carecall, Telecare and Sensory services. The time was then right for a change of pace and I was lucky enough to join Home Instead as a field supervisor, I am really loving the contact with clients and families again, and hope I can bring some of my past experience to the Care team, Care Professionals and most importantly our clients.

In my spare time I am kept very busy with my husband, 4 children and partners, 6 grandchildren, 3 horses and a dog….and I love every second !

Field Supervisor- Leahanne

Hi, I’m Leahanne and I have been with Home Instead since August 2015. I started as a CAREGiver and really took to the role and progressed to a Senior CAREGiver a role that I really enjoy, as I now have the best of both worlds, I love being in the office speaking to people on the phone and supporting staff and I also enjoy getting to know all the lovely clients and CAREGivers we work with out in the field. My approach to life is always positive and I bring that into all areas of my role; having been a CAREGiver I know how it feels and do everything I can to help them be the best CAREGivers they can be. I have been told I am a great person to have around, which is good to hear. I have successfully completed my NVQ Level 2 and Level 3.

On a personal note, I live with my Husband and I am very busy mum of two who keep me active. I enjoy crafting and have been named party planner extraordinaire by all of the team.

Carrie - Scheduler

Hi, I’m Carrie, I joined home Instead in May 2020 initially as a  CAREGiver, then was delighted to join the office team as Scheduler. For 15 years I worked in the leisure industry as Finance Administrator. I feel that my previous role has prepared me for this new challenge, as planning and meeting deadlines are key. My role as Scheduler is very busy, but I enjoy new challenges, and one of those is to make sure our Clients and CAREGivers are the best match, ensuring that all needs are met, it’s rewarding when we have positive feedback .

On a more personal level, I live with my Husband and Son and our French Bull Dog Morris, who keeps us busy. We enjoy going on long walks at weekends, and love meeting up with family and friends .

Finance Officer - Stephen

Hi, I’m Stephen and I am married to Melissa. My role in the business is what I refer to as “engine room”, so making sure backroom functions run smoothly for the rest of the team. I always love hearing about how the clients are doing and have built up a good relationship with some of our clients and their families. I do think our organisation has a very family feel and it is my greatest wish that people feel part of something worthwhile. Life is never dull at Home Instead and there is always something going on. Melissa and I are very proud of the team we work with and all the amazing work they do to help people stay living independently at home.
