The Warrington & Lymm Team
Michelle Taylor On-Call support
Hello, my name is Michelle and I love my job here at Home Instead. I provide support to a number of clients and I also provide on-call support at the weekend. We have a very caring and passionate team that I am proud to be a part of. I have lived in Warrington all my life. I gained most of my experience caring for my dad, who had Alzheimer’s for sixteen years. I took a very hands on approach from the moment my dad became ill and also have a close family friend who I support with a number of medical conditions.
As part of the team here at Home Instead I firmly believe that everyone should get the same standard of treatment that I would want for my loved ones.
Jane Stanton Care Manager
It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as Jane Stanton, the new care manager at Home Instead, Warrington. I am only just in my first month with the company but already feel so at home.
I have worked in the care sector for over 30 years primarily with social services and have had the opportunity to gain valuable experience with a number of client groups. In 2010, I acquired the Registered Manager’s Award and took up a position in an extra care facility for the elderly. Following a number of years with this company I felt I was ready for a new challenge and was delighted to be offered the post of registered manager with Melissa and her team at Home Instead Warrington.
On a more personal level, I was raised in Canada but have now lived in the UK for a number of years. I presently live in Frodsham with my husband and between us we have 6 children and two grandchildren. My husband likes to say, his empire is growing!
Importantly, I have first-hand experience of care as I was a carer for both my mother and father who each suffered poor health, so I hope that has stood me in good stead with regards to empathy and understanding the needs of the person requiring support and the demands of caring. I and the team firmly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to live their lives as they would wish and to live as independently as possible. Hopefully the Home Instead team in Warrington can help you achieve this.
I look forward to having the opportunity to meet as many of you as possible over the coming months.
Roz Smart Care Co-ordinator
Hi I am Roz Smart the new Care Co-ordinator for Home Instead in Warrington
I have 3 children all of whom are grown up now. I have two lovely grandchildren and another one on the way.
I started my caring career looking after my own daughter who was born with a physical disability, I also looked after my mother-in-law who was diagnosed with terminal cancer and my father-in-law who had a heart condition.
Having gained lots of skills supporting my family, I started my caring career as home care assistant in 2001 providing care and support to vulnerable people in the community, this also included shopping and domestic calls; I worked my way up in various companies to the position I am now in.
I believe that every individual needing care deserves the care to be of the very highest standard.
I have gained an NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care and a QCF Level 3 in Line Management as well as keeping myself up to date with all the mandatory training needed in the care sector.
I am passionate about both the care sector and my own family and try to give my best to both.
Lesley Hill Senior CAREGiver
My name is Lesley Hill and I joined Home Instead in February 2016. Part of my role within the organisation is that of Senior CAREGiver, supporting new CAREGivers through the induction process and ensuring they settle into the role. I also work as a CAREGiver, working with a varying array of clients with different needs and service requirements. I really enjoy both aspects of my job and feel lucky that I have the chance of working with other caregivers and meeting lots of different clients during my visits.
Throughout my working career I have always cared for people , providing services and treatments that make people feel better about themselves, so my roles within the organisation give me the chance to use those skills, knowledge and experience I have developed over the years in supporting clients in their own homes to stay active and well.
I am married with 4 wonderful children that have all grown up, two of them have already moved on and got their own homes. In my spare time I enjoy spending time in my garden as well as spending quality time with my family and friends. I enjoy the good outdoors and like going camping on a regular basis in Wales with family and friends, going on long walks and taking in the beautiful scenery. When I have the time I also enjoy losing myself in a good book or word search, but draw the line at a crossword
Melissa Critchley - Director
I have worked for much of my career in Age Concern and Age UK, initially as the Chief Officer in Halton and then managing services in two other Age UK organisations in the North West, one of which covered the Warrington area.
I have always been passionate about improving the lives of older people and so when the opportunity arose to lead Warrington Home Instead Senior Care, I jumped at the chance. Working as part of a team to provide top quality care that respects and works with older people and their families is my dream come true.
Promoting older peoples' independence and helping them to remain in their own homes is at the heart of all we do.
I am really pleased with the service and can already see a real difference in mum.FMcC daughter of a relatively new client
