Sally Clough - Franchise Owner
As the franchise owner I am responsible for the overall operations and strategic direction of the business. I take an active interest in day to day running of the care services we deliver and have in the past personally delivered care to our clients.
My previous career was within high end fashion retail, then moved into interiors being responsible for 27 shops before moving onto Head of Design in my last years within the sector. I was involved in business development, people management, sales, profit and customer services and marketing.
In 2007, I made the life changing decision to buy into the Home Instead Senior Care franchise. I am passionate about the values and beliefs or our company and I am proud to be delivering quality care to the community of Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas.
Lisa Brown - Registered Care Manager
Hello, my name is Lisa, I am the Registered Care Manager for the Tamworth and Lichfield office. I joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2013 as part of the on call team. This was a complete career change for me as I had been working within Dentistry for over 15 years.
I soon worked my way up within the business to Supervisor, and then after gaining my QCF Level 5 in Management I was promoted to Deputy Care Manager.
In January 2018 I was delighted to be promoted to Care Manager.
I am now responsible for the day to day running of the office and have the pleasure of going out to clients and assessing their individual care needs.
One of the best things about working for Home Instead Senior Care is that I get to do what I love whilst providing a high quality service and making a difference to people’s lives.
I am very passionate about delivering high quality person centered care, and being part of Home Instead enables me to deliver this on a daily basis. I am very family orientated and know how important it is to find the right people to help you care for your loved ones. I would be privileged to help you during your search, and as a team we will be glad to help in any way that we can.
Karen Wilkinson- Community Relations Officer
My name is Karen Wilkinson and I’m Community Relations Officer for Home Instead Senior Care and I’ve been in my role for 4 years.
The role brings the freedom to network out in the local community to build positive relationships with people who regularly come into contact with the elderly and who may find our services beneficial. These could be local health or social service professionals, local business owners, councils or community groups.
Community Relations Officers organise and attend events in the community, sharing information about our services and advice about ageing well with Dementia. The purpose of the role is to generate awareness of Home Instead services, ethos and brand.
Recently Home Instead have opened a Memory Café in Tamworth. I have very much enjoyed being a part of setting the café up and watching the numbers grow. It is a great benefit for people living with dementia in the local area and is well supported by health officials and the local council.
Before joining the company I worked in the airline industry within the customer services department and was fortunate to be able travel to many destinations. I have also worked as an events and wedding Co-ordinator, it was really rewarding to be part of making a couples day really special.
Karen Hurmson- Recruiter
Prior to Home Instead my positions have been in a sales environment. I was seriously lost when my sales role came to an end and thought about the direction i wanted to go in for my next chapter in life.
Having been involved in helping people in the community over many years i decided to look for positions in care
Home Instead really stood out with the ethos of the company. It matched my passion to make a difference to help local residents stay at home for as long as possible.
As Recruiter I meet many people that become caregivers for the first time. I like to see them gain knowledge, confidence, build relationships with our clients and I like to make them feel appreciated and valued in a friendly team environment. It gives me great job satisfaction.
Outside of work I love to socialise with friends and family, I enjoy volunteering to help disabled people and enjoy days out walking in the countryside.
Charlotte Coats- Field Care Supervisor
Hi there, I'm Charlotte.
I am a mother of two and in my spare time I love to grow my own food within my little vegetable patch.
I love to hear stories about individual pasts whilst reminiscing with the individuals we support.
I have been working within the care sector for 14 year now in various adult care environments. My passion is within the deliverance of dementia care and how important person centred care is for individuals to retain their identity and independence. I also deliver training within first aid to our lovely CAREGivers and thoroughly enjoy the positive interaction.
I love working for Home Instead Senior Care Tamworth and Lichfield. I truly believe within their ethos and individualised approach to care and support. The client really is put at the centre of their care and support is orientated around the individual. I am honoured to be able to be part of an individuals life journey ensuring they are valued and respected. To us it really is personal.
I believe the one hour minimum visits are of extreme value to enable our CAREGivers to build a positive relationship of trust with the individual and ovoid rushing them. The one hour minimum visit also enables the individual to be as independent as possible and supports positive interaction.
My job does not feel like work. I thoroughly enjoy working along side the amazing CAREGivers and the many wonderful individuals they care for
Karen Windsor - CAREGiver Experience Lead and Trainer
My Name is Karen Windsor,
I have worked for Home Instead for 21 months and at the time was thinking about changing my career until I met Sally and Lisa. I loved the companies ethos and how passionate everyone was about the work they do. I joined as the Experience Lead to over see all CAREGivers and was then asked after a few months to deliver the training for all new CAREGivers. I love being able share my knowledge with others and share experiences.
I have worked in care for 32 years in several different roles with the elderly and learning difficulties as a Carer, Senior, day care officer, deputy manager and Manager roles. I can honestly say that I enjoy this role the best. I support CAREGivers to be the best that they can be and also get to enjoy going out bowling, for pub meals, having coffee mornings up until Covid hit that is. I am still trying to keep in contact as much as possible with our CAREGiversat during these uncertain times and cannot wait until we can all start to meet up again. I feel like I have found my second family here at Home Instead as the company and my team make me feel so complete. It is a pleasure to come to work in the morning.
