Memory Cafe Tea Dance is a Huge Success!

Home Instead Sutton Coldfield have a very successful Memory Cafe at St James Church Hall in Mere Green every Thursday 10am to 12pm to support people living with Dementia.

With a view to creating funds for the many activities and events that happen at the Cafe each week, Home Instead held a tea dance at Sutton Coldfield Football Club in September.

We received very generous sponsorship as well as provision for the venue from the Wylde Green Rotarian's who are very active in supporting community projects for people living with Dementia

70 People enjoyed vintage afternoon tea and "tripped the light fantastic" to a variety of dances including the waltz, tango and the quick step.

The event was extremely well received and many of the attendees are already signed up for the next event in 2018.

The fund raising event was a huge success and the funds raised allow a variety of new initiatives for the Cafe to continue supporting people living with Dementia in 2018.
