Winner - Regional Great British Care Awards 2018

Charlotte Baines wins the North West ‘Putting People First/Personalisation’ award at the Great British Care Awards 2018.

We are so proud of our Deputy Care Manager, Charlotte Baines, who was presented with the Putting People First/ Personalisation Award last Saturday (24th November) at the Regional Finals at the Mercure Hotel, Manchester.

The purpose of the awards is to promote best practice and pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

Charlotte, along with two other Home Instead finalists and owners, enjoyed being wined and dined at the glittering award ceremony amongst 450+ North West attendees from across the care sector.

When announced winner of the Putting People First/ Personalisation Award, Charlotte was beaming with pride and shock, she said, “Not for one minute did I think I’d be recognised above such a high calibre of finalists, but when I heard my name I was in total shock. I am so moved and honoured to be recognised for this award because I love what I do every day. It’s a privilege to make bespoke care packages to enable our clients to live happy at home longer and to change people’s perception of what care truly means. I can honestly say I love what I do and wouldn’t change my job for anything.”

The judging panel recognised the passion and pride Charlotte showed for her role during the interview stage of the shortlisting process. Her desire to listen and understand to the needs of clients, married with her approach to recognise the right care support needed was evident. One judge, personally approached Charlotte on the night to congratulate her on her win, saying she radiated the WOW factor they were looking for and that she couldn’t be a more deserving winner.

As a category winner, Charlotte will now go forward to the National finals at Birmingham’s ICC on 8th March 2019. To find out more about the National Great British Care Awards click here.
