What a fantastic turnout on Saturday 14th October at the Memory Walk which took place at the Pier Head. Franchise owner Irene Hough and some of her office team walked to raise the much needed funds to help change lives. Irene stated, so far we have raised in excess of £500 which could pay for 700 copies of the Alzheimers Society's new Understanding your Diagnosis booklets helping those recently diagnosed with dementia understand more about the condition and how to come to terms with some of the feelings they might be having. Many of us have loved ones who we wished to be remembered and those who are living with a diagnosis, this is particularly close to my heart having lost a dearly loved Aunt to this disease 9 years ago as well as a new diagnosis for my father in law. These booklets will go a long way to supporting families and friends of those who have been newly diagnosed and we were only too happy to help.
