Recently Home Instead welcomed Big Brother winner and TV celebrity, Craig Philips to one of our dementia workshops.  Craig regularly writes about his family member on his fan pages, as she has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.  Craig was invited to attend, alongside other family members, to learn more about dementia and how families can support their loved one effectively.

Home Instead is pleased to announce that we are continuing our FREE dementia Workshops.

These are available to local families, businesses, charities, voluntary organisations, public sector workers and community groups throughout the Southport, Formby and Crosby area.  The initiative was launched in May 2013 to coincide with National Dementia Awareness, the workshops proved so successful, that we have decided to run them regularly throughout the year, as we are keen to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and we aim to provide much needed support to our local community.

The workshops are for local families, businesses, charities, voluntary organisations, public sector worker organisations and community groups. This will help Home Instead to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia in the local community and will move the local community closer to being a dementia friendly society.
