Steve Willoughby, Farrukh Khan and Niven Ramalingum flew the flag for at-home care company, Home Instead, when they teamed up to take part in the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk in Thorndon Park Brentwood on Sunday (30th September).
Representing the Brentwood, Basildon and Southend on Sea offices of Home Instead, the trio put their best feet forward on the 5 mile walk; taking in the best nature had to offer, while strolling through beautiful heathland.
The money raised from the walk will go towards funding the vital work done by the Alzheimer’s Society to support older people, their carers and their families. As well as funding local services, such as activity groups.
Steve who with colleague, Michel is pictured with Mayor Ann Coe and Ray Hardisty from the Alzheimer`s Society commented, “we specialise in providing care to older people and see first-hand the invaluable work that the Alzheimer’s Society do across the area. So many of our clients and their families have been affected in some way or other by dementia and as such, we are passionate about raising money to fund research and increase awareness of the condition.
“The Memory Walk was the perfect opportunity for people from all areas to get together and really make a difference to the lives of older people in our community.”
