City & Guilds Dementia Training

This week saw a group of our wonderful CAREGiver’s come together virtually for Day 2 of their Dementia Training.

In line with Dementia Action Week, we asked our training manager Becky to share a few words around our Dementia Training Programme and the impact she feels it has for our CAREGivers and our clients.

“At Home Instead, our mission is to enhance the lives of older people and their families, making a real difference to the lives of clients and people who use our services. Following a rigorous recruitment process Home Instead is committed to providing personalised training and on-going support to ensure our CAREGiver’s are the best they can be.

Our City & Guilds Assured training programme has been created exclusively for the Home Instead network and focuses on caring for the whole person and their experiences of living with dementia. Building on unique talents of intuition, commitment, caring and understanding, our training will play to these strengths and give our CAREGiver’s the knowledge and tools necessary to help meet the individual needs of each client. Our training will empower our CAREGiver’s to become experts in recognising that each person with dementia is an individual and to have more confidence when working with a diverse group of individual people living with dementia.”

Our assured City and Guild Dementia Training is offered to all CAREGivers to ensure our clients are supported to live well with Dementia. Look out for our Dementia Awareness Community Workshops where Becky supports family and friends of those living with Dementia.
