Welcoming Our New Care Manager

Katie Brennan as Home Instead's new Care Manager

Finding just the right person for important jobs isn’t always easy but in appointing Katie Brennan as our new Care Manager we’re confident we’ve done exactly that.

Katie has extensive experience in Care, both for older and younger people. However, like many of us working at Home Instead, she didn’t start off in this sector. She began her career in manufacturing before deciding that, if she was going to put so much into her job, she really wanted to be doing something that made a difference to other people’s lives. She first experienced the Home Instead ethos as a CAREGiver before leaving to gain experience in care management. Now she’s happy to be back...

“It’s great to be back at Home Instead. Their commitment to changing the face of ageing is something I’ve always found inspiring. And I know from personal experience that their determination to be an outstanding employer is just as genuine. I’m really excited about playing a part in all this, especially in the crucial role of Care Manager.”

And in her spare time...

While not at work Katie’s a big sports fan (supporting, not playing) and has a passion for travelling. Last year she embarked on a major road-trip around Europe, taking in some of the continent’s most beautiful cities such as Florence, Vienna and Bruges before returning to picturesque Manchester. She also enjoys horror films (especially what she calls the “classics”, such as Halloween) but despite this she’s actually an extremely caring person – really.

We’re delighted that Katie has joined us. She’s got the “good heart” that’s the one essential qualification to work for Home Instead and we know she’s going to do a brilliant job.
