It’s been a great year for Home Instead on the awards front, with the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise topping the list.
However our latest award, being announced as the Winner in the inaugural Smith & Henderson Best Employers in Care Awards, is as pleasing as any.
That’s because this award is based on feedback given by an organisation’s staff. For us that means our amazing CAREGiving team, without whom none of the other awards would be possible.
When we opened Home Instead South Manchester, Alison and I were determined to run a business that took as good care of it’s employees as it did its clients. This was for a number of reasons. First off, we think it’s just the right thing to do. Second, we both spent many years working for Clarks Shoes, another family business that has practised this ethos ever since it’s creation in 1825. And finally, we firmly believe that if we want our CAREGivers to really go the extra mile for our clients they have to feel that we value them in same way they value the people they care for.
So it was great to hear about the award the same week one of the newest members of our team posted a completely unprompted comment on our Facebook page (you can visit it here)
